While advising companies on corporate social responsibility is a major part of the work we do, we are also committed to contributing to the communities in which we work through Intersocial’s own CSR policy.
CSR means respecting the communities and the natural environments in which we work.
While CSR necessarily includes adhering to international standards and our own internal social and environmental policies, for us it also includes the opportunity to share our success with the communities in which we work.
Through Intersocial’s Percent for People, we spend a percentage of any profits each year on community development projects in the areas of the world where we are working. Often this will include donating to projects in partnership with our clients and other local development actors.
- Intersocial has committed to long term support of Meseret Care Fund (MCF), a charity working with HIV/Aids affected families in Ethiopia. MCF works with destitute families, addressing basic needs, access to medicines, business training and start-ups, and getting the children of affected families back in education.
- Intersocial has made a donation to assist families directly impacted by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, providing financial support to assist families to rebuild after their houses were destroyed in the disaster.
- Intersocial is also providing educational support and assistance to underprivileged families in Ghana.
Details of future projects we support will be outlined here.
